The Start of my Life at Athens Technical College
Six Adjustments
The most challenging of the six adjustments was the social aspect. With college being a big step forward in my life, and with so many new people from not just different schools, but from other states and countries, meeting new people and making connections was definitely challenging and nerve-racking.
Athens Technical College Resources
The bookstore, library, and financial aid office are all resources I have used and will definitely continue to use throughout my years in college.
I can purchase many of the needed materials at the A.T.C., like books, notebooks, writing materials, and even any tech I might need. I enjoy spending time in the library as it is a great place to study and do my work. Financial aid is very important, no matter where and what school you go to, and the financial aid office at A.T.C. is fantastic. The people who work there are very kind and understanding, and they help you with your financial aid.
Unwritten Rule
An unwritten rule I am working to improve is how I study and reorganize my notes after class. Throughout my years in school, I was often lazy with my note-taking and how I studied. Now that I'm in college, I've quickly realized that those old habits are not helpful or adequate for succeeding in college.
